A color-coded EUIPO risk rating, similar trademarks and plain-English comparisons come first. USPTO results, state business registries and available online/social/marketplace findings appear as separate supporting information. Reports are reviewed before delivery.
You can still apply even where a potential conflict exists. An earlier owner may oppose an EU application; EUIPO does not routinely refuse applications on earlier-mark grounds without an opposition.
This is EUIPO-led screening, not worldwide clearance or a search of every EU national register. National trademarks and unregistered rights may also matter.
