- Automatic renewal cannot be avoided by ignoring it: it renews for another twelve months at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date
Trademark monitoring is included at no extra charge, on the automated tier. If you already pay for a separate trademark monitoring subscription, it will keep billing until you cancel it — joining does not cancel it for you, and we will tell you so before you pay.
What the discount actually applies to
25% off MARQ's attorney fee on Federal Knockout Search, Comprehensive Clearance Search, Complete Registration, Procedural Office Action and Substantive Office Action, on purchases you make while your membership is active.
USPTO government filing fees are never discounted. They are set by the government, we pass them through at cost with no markup, and no law firm can reduce them. On a one-class registration that is $350, and you pay exactly that whether or not you are a member.
Here is a one-class registration, both ways:

You save $124.75 on the attorney fee. The government fee is identical, because it is the government's.
What it does not do
- It does not reprice work you bought before you joined. The discount applies to purchases made while the membership is active.
- It does not discount USPTO fees, Statement of Use filings or letters of protest.
- It does not cover oppositions, cancellations, enforcement, litigation or international filings.
- It does not cancel a separate trademark monitoring subscription you already pay for. Monitoring is included in the membership, but if you hold a standalone subscription it keeps billing until you cancel it yourself — we will tell you before you pay, and again in your portal afterwards.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from your client portal. On the monthly plan it stops at the end of the period you have paid for. On the annual plan, cancelling before the renewal date stops the next twelve months from being charged. Either way you keep member pricing and included monitoring until the end of the period you have already paid for — we do not take away something you have paid for.
The annual plan renews automatically for another twelve months at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. Your renewal date is shown in your client portal, and we email you 7 days before it renews so it is never a surprise.
